The area of Torrequebrada is also relatively large and spans from the eastern side of Torrequebrada Golf (this is known as Nueva Torrequebrada (See Map) ) all the way to Sunset Beach Hotel, which is really where all amenities begin. (See Map). As well as being coastal Torrequebrada occupies an extensive area heading north and borders the western outskirts of Arroyo de la Miel. Here we find communities such as Arenal Golf, Mediterra, etc. Below we have more detailed information on these areas and their communities.

Marina de Torrequebrada we can normally offer a range of apartments and Penthouses for sale. Its a relatively small urbanisation where the properties face either South or East. The penthouses are often duplex and usually consist of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The lower or mid floors are often 2 bed 2 bath units. Its a rather nice urbanisation with very practical access to amenities and apartments often come with lock up garage. The practical location comes with a price, being that there is some degree of road noise from the coastal road.
Sunset Beach Hotel is located in a very privilidged position , on the beachside and beachfront position close to all central amenties of Benalmadena Costa. Its actually not very common to find apartments for sale in Sunset Beach. However, some of them sometime become available to purchase as freehold property. The Sunset Beach is a 4 star hotel and owning an apartment there giving you a very pivilidged position on the beachside with ample facilities onsite which include lounge/bar with panoramic sea views, indoor and outdoor restaurants, onsite gymnasium , well stocked supermarket, onsite dental surgery, onsite hair salon, and several outdoor pools with childrens play area. Heading up Calle Camelia away from Marina de Torrequebrada , you will see to the right on a slight hill the community of Lomas de Mena. In this complex we can normally offer apartments for sale in Lomas de Mena as well as some duplex penthouses. The duplex penthouses normally have solariums , views are often very good and location is good but gain there is a hill to tackle which is the case with most of the area.
This community is composed mainly of 1 or 2 bed apartments and penthouses with good size terraces. There is also outdoor gated parking and a community pool.
Most of this area is composed of villas scattered around. The villas we normally offer for sale in Cortijo de Torrequebrada are usually detached with plots of around 500m2 to 800m2. There are however other types of villas which are known in spanish as "Semi pareados", this means that they are semi detached houses , often which gardens and independent swimming pools. They are normally of signioficant build for semi detached houses. Its quite a practical area because as soon as you get to the coastal area, all amenties begin. However like most of Benalmadena there is a hill to tackle, which is fine by car but by foot, its very subjective opinion given the incline.
Heading up Calle Camelia from coastal road we arrive at Golf Resort Apartments. Golf Resort is composed of 2 phases. In both phases of Golf Resort we can offer a variety of apartments and penthouses for sale. These apartments are probably the most spacious apartments you will find in Benalmadena, with high ceilings and a good sense of space often comparable to that of houses. Here you will also find 3 bed 2 bath apartments. and 2 bed 2 bath apartments. There is an attended reception area and the complex benefits from 24 hour security. There are several pools and an infant playgound for exclusive use of the community. Apartments often come with sea and/ or golf views from usually good size terraces.
Just across the road from Golf Resort is the community of townhouses in a gated complex known as Mirador de Mena. Here we can normally offer townhouses for sale in Mirador de Mena. They are normally composed of 2 or 3 bedrooms and some have attic spaces which have been converted to a further living area via normally spirak staircase. The community here have access to pool.
Continuing up calle Camelia from Golf Resort and Mirador de Mena we arrive to a comunity of apartments on the right known as Vista Hermosa. We can normally offer a range of apartments and penthouses for sale in Vista Hermosa. These are normally 2 bed 2 bath or 3 bed 2 bath units. This community has a nice andalucian style with tropical gardens and lovely pool area and padel tennis court. There are 2 entrances to the community north entrance and east entrance. Just adjacent to Vista hermosa on the west side is Finca Doña Maria. We normally can offer a good range of apartments for sale in Finca Doña Maria and also a variety on sale of penthouses in Finca Doña Maria. Here there are various Phases, around 6 community pools serving the different phases. Apartments and penthouses are usually 1 bed 1bath, 2 bed 2 bath or 3 bed 2 bath units (normally the latter 2) with champgne marble flooring, integrated a/c and generous terraces which often have pleasant views to gof and /or sea. many have allocated parking spaces below the building. The area of Finca Doña Maria is quite large and actually spans across to the area of Nueva Torrequebrada. The pools to the different phases are quite diffrent, some lack garden, others are more generous with gerden areas.
The Torrequebrada costa area spans from just west of Sunset beach to the area just before the Flatotel. In this section we will give some details on the urbanisations found in this area. They tend to be fairly close to the sea which is a stony one and relatively flat area along the coastline to central amenities which begin on the eastern side.
We normally can offer a range of apartments and penthouses for sale in Albatross and Alboran.This complex is located very close to the coastal road in firstline beach position. These complexes dont really offer community gardens around the pool but none the less have community pools and often underground garage. The area is very practical indeed, and although the is a steep hill along the pedestrian access outside, one may have the possibility depending on the location of the apartment in using the lifts or community areas to gain a more practical access. The Albatross apartments are usually 2 bed 1 bath units, as well as some 3 bed 2 bath. Alboran is mainly composed of 2 bed 2 bath units.
We can normally offer penthouses and apartments for sale in Torreon del Mar, this complex is located in a first line beach position with the coastal road infront. Its a relatively new community with good access to restaurants (they are located below the complex). There are 2 community pools onsite and an infant playground. At the time of writing this description, the community fees in this complex often include electricity consumption. for some this may be an advantage.
Apartments for sale in El Coloso Torrequebrada are either located in Phase 1 (built 2003) or Phase 2 (released 2012). The Phase 1 of Coloso is the larger building of the two. It is significantly higher and the apartments either face east, South or west. Phase 1 apartments are generally a much better size than phase 2, some 1 bed apartments have been converted inro 2 bed but still allows the second bedroom to have a window. It was unclear at the time of the initial relaease of phase 2 that the apartments in this phase had use of the established pool and gardens, as well as padel tennis courts. This seems to now be resolved. The second phase of Colosso was released many years after its construction. In fact the release of apartments for sale in Coloso Phase 2 only occured around 2012-3. The location of Coloso is very practical, The buildings themselves perhaps lack personality but this is compensated by the gardens and pool areas. The location is also quite special because of its close proximity to beach.
Here , we can normally offer apartments, penthouses and townhouses for sale in Benalgolf. This community is situated in a great location and has a lovely central pool with gardens and bar area. It is composed of 1 2 and 3 bed apartments as well as a few townhouses which are normally 2 bed houses. at time of this publication there are no lifts installed in Benalgolf for any of the apartments. Some if these townhouses have basment areas which have been converted into games area or bedrooms. Most townhouses normally have privated gardens. Parking is limited in this community and is usually outside on the community street areas. However in some cases there are private garages which may be included in the property sale. The style of this community is rather nice , with andalucian charm.
Hacienda de Torrequebrada is a rather prestigious urbanisation. Plot sizes are normally in excess of 1000m2 and the allowance to build is quite high resulting in some quite substantial properties in this urbanisation. The villas in hacienda de Torrequebrada usually face the Torrequebrada Golf course or the sea. The location of this urbanisation is also quite practical for walking to the beach or driving to schools. There are also a number of shops and restaurants close by. Terrazas del Golf is an urbanisation of townhouses within Hacienda de Torrequebrada. A pool has yet also to be built, which perhaps would be added if the whole phase is ever fully completed.

Fortunamar offers a large community garden , community pool, tennis court/basket ball and direct access to coastal road for practicality to get to beach. La Sirena was built in 2007, a beachfront complex, it consists of only 5 apartments and 1 duplex penthouse. The qualities are much higher than most and therefore prices per metre squared are significantly higher than other communities. This is quite a tasteful complex, with a moorish design and qualities within are better than most other beach front communities in Benalmadena. Phase 1 was completed in 2000. It benefits from community pool and underground parking (parking space may or may not be included in price) , as well as a direct access to the path which leads to beach. One thing to note is that there is a Nudist beach between Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Costaquebrada apartments. The views from these apartments vary, some look onto the pool areas whlst others look upon the beaches or small bays and there are some which face the naturalist beaches.
